Olympic excitement and connection

The Olympics are always exciting and inspiring. This year even more so. I enjoyed watching Team USA play Canada in preparation. I also learned that one of my camp teammates, Grace Lee, is playing for the Korean Olympic team. How cool is that! It has been fun to see her posts and catch glimpses of her on TV. And who would have known that women's hockey would be playing a diplomatic role in world affairs.

A fun thing about hockey is that the brief time that you spend playing together at a camp or tournament can lead to long-term relationships. I meet Grace at the 2016 High Performance Multi-District camp where we really enjoyed playing together and hanging out. We have kept in touch on-line and have crossed paths a couple of times at tournaments. We usually don't talk with others while warming up for a game but Grace was kind enough to "accidentally" deflect her puck in my area so we could briefly catch up. Grace is an awesome player Go Grace and go Team USA!
